Sporting clay recommendation
Good evening Iβm new to the group. What would yall recommend in a 12g over under for a starter sporting clay gun? With a $3000 max pice. Wanting something that will hold up for a long time as well as be easy to repair / source parts if something does break. Iβm a fan of your show.
I use a Browning CXS. It is a really good gun for under $3,000. Easy to get parts directly from Browning. You could probably find a used Browning 725/825 or Beretta 688. If you are wanting easy repair and parts I would stick with Browning or Beretta.
+1 on the Rizzini. Know some guys who still shoot this in master and probably best value out there for an O/U under $3k now that the silver pigeon is above that point (though the SP1 is a great beginner gun too and will last, itβs what I started on back in 2014 when it was under $2k).
Michael PanozzoΒ what Rizzini are you seeing for under 3k?
Chance WheelerΒ replied on the main so wonβt put again, but posted a couple links to Abelβs. Thatβs where I bought my first SP1 and they are great. Still have some under $3k with one more a sporting variant at 32β barrels. I still have mine and is my backup but still shooting like new (with the recommended service after so many shots fired through it).
They may have just gone up after nationals but the b110 was just below $3k. Looks like most around here at least are around $3,400 for sporting models. Some beretta SP1βs still under $3k but most are the hunting/field variants (shorter barrel and non adjustable combs).

They used to be under $3k, maybe just went up. Some beretta Silver Pigeon 1βs still about $2,800 but shorter barrel (field variants). Fierce was the us importer of rizzini I believe and collabed with them before to get into shotguns and under $3k. Iβm sure similar but have not seen or know of anyone with them.

Michael PanozzoΒ awesome thank yβall for the input and help! I really appreciate it.
Reach out to Woolley and see what they are currently selling them for. They will take good care of you. https://www.gunsinternational.com/guns-for-sale-online/shotguns/rizzini-shotguns/rizzini-br110-sporter-12ga-32-adj-lh-new.cfm?gun_id=103892118
Steve GouldΒ perfect thank you very much!
I just purchased a pre-owned Fabarm Elos N2 RS for $2,250. It is in like new condition less than 200 rounds fired since new. Fabarm not a well known brand but owned by Casear Guerini, it's a high quality Italian built shotgun.
Bill IrlandΒ what would you compare the feel of this gun to I shoot a Benelli sport in 12 gauge and a Legacy which is slim at the grip but I like the feel. I am looking for a new sporting clays gun and the Fabarm is one I am considering.
